Myth: Pet insurance doesn’t cover everything

Many pet owners worry that insurance won’t cover everything, especially routine care or pre-existing conditions. While that’s true in many cases, most insurers now offer wellness add-ons for preventive care like vaccines, dental cleanings, and check-ups, giving you more complete coverage. View Money’s pet insurance list to find plans for as low as $10 a month.

It’s TIIIIIIIIIIIIME!

In honor of the holiday season, this newsletter is going to be fun, festive, and far too brief.

Good luck with finals if you’re still working through them! If you’ve wrapped everything up, congratulations!

I hope you drop into the holiday vibes quicker than your grades I mean–Dasher moving a sleigh.

The next Cense newsletter will be in January! See you in the new year!

Learn: Simple Holiday Hacks

I’ve compiled a quick list of simple holiday hacks to make your break all the more fruitful.

You can thank me later:

1. Second Christmas:

If you’re feeling like spending a little extra on treating yourself this Christmas, consider going to the holiday section of your nearest supermarket.

You’ll find things you likely won’t need until December 2026. But hey, you’ll probably find them for Cense on the dollar. (see what I did there?)

2. Gaslight Secret Santa

If you’re concerned about getting a group of friends each a gift, just tell them you already agreed to do a Secret Santa.

If they say that they never agreed to that then tell them you never agreed to be friends with such a lamo-poop-fart. This always works.

3. Travel Like a Rat

Stock up on snacks and food before heading to the airport. You may look like you’re hoarding but trust.

When you get to the airport and they offer you a slice of cheese and a singular cracker for $13, you can laugh, scamper off, and fish out the ten crackers and cheese you pre-purchased.

Leverage: RocketMoney

Jokes aside, cash flies in the holiday season.

You gotta Venmo someone back for a meal here, you’re buying the bestest gift on your credit card there, and you’re throwing ones at Vixen over there.

I don’t think RocketMoney is the best tool, but it does do a good job of centralizing all your money in one spot.

Pros

  • You can see your bank, credit card, investments all in one spot.

  • It tracks your subscriptions so you can see if you’re paying for something you forgot about.

  • It’s free! They will try to get you to pay but you don’t have to.

Cons

  • It takes a bit to connect all your accounts to set up.

  • Some people are uncomfortable connecting their financial information into an app, though RocketMoney does say they do not sell your financial information.

  • Your data will not always be immediately up to date. There is sometimes a 12+ hour lag.

Also, quick reminder that I am not sponsored by any of the tools I note here. I wish I was! These are just the tools I use.

Launch!

Do a wrapped of your finances.

  • Check how well your budget went this year.

  • Evaluate how you might improve your finances in the coming year.

  • Set your 2026 financial goals and realistically budget to achieve them.

And enjoy your break!
